I recently bought a few dark red and green heirloom tomatoes (are there technical names for these?) and used them as the T in BLTs I made for international bacon day last week. With the homemade bacon I was inspired to make by your blog, it was the best damn BLT I've ever had.
I just want to take the moment to thank you for showing us all how easy it is to make america's favorite salty breakfast meat.
Dave- glad to know that I am not the only one who thought that! However- these babies are super and worth seeking out for BLT's or tosted pita salad (like we are having tonight) with flank steak!
Thanks for the morning laugh!!! How true!!!
