Sahlen's being top dog(no pun intended.
I've always longed for a better hot dog with more flavor though.
I think my longing has come to an end, at least for now.
I stopped at Aldi yesterday to do a little shopping and noticed they had a cooler full of Hoffman's German Franks and Hoffman's Snappy Grillers. Needless to say I snapped up a bag of the German Franks and reluctantly passed on the Snappy Grillers (my daughter's "ew" comment prompted me to pass). Glad I bought the Hoffman's German Franks. They are definitely my new top dog. Based on the review of Sanppy Grillers on your blog I'm going back there(sans daughter) to get a bag of Snappy Grillers and a couple more bags of German Franks.Brewsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03399050738479011025noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27945607.post-81390120284163673222010-09-28T13:35:39.247-04:002010-09-28T13:35:39.247-04:00If you like those, you should try Hoffman's Na...If you like those, you should try Hoffman's Natural Casing German Franks.

My family always buys them from this awesome little mennonite market called Sauders, which carries quite a few lovely goodies.brittanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09894803005395322236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27945607.post-29711542416465014062010-05-22T14:13:32.888-04:002010-05-22T14:13:32.888-04:00I get righteously indignant when people put ketchu...I get righteously indignant when people put ketchup on a hot dog. Seriously, what's wrong with them?

My preferential way of eating a dog is either:

A) Good stoneground mustard, raw onions, relish.
B) Meat sauce / chili.

In reality, I'll take it any way I can get it as long as it doesn't have ketchup on it. I love hot dogs.

Also, for a great selection of dogs, check out Karl Ehmer and Zweigels if you already haven't. Great stuff, especially their bratwurst / "white hots" (respectively).Scott Spolverinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02109548168910173982noreply@blogger.com
